This Accountant and HR Support position is ideal for those who love a variety of duties and are seeking 10-12 hours a week. If you like to feel valued, respected, and part of a team, this is the position for you!

Part Time Accountant and HR Support Duties:

  • Sending hours to 3rd party payroll and completing the payroll process. Entering all payroll information into the system.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Following up on past due invoices.
  • Month end closing and bank reconciliations
  • Assisting CPA firm with year-end reporting. (However, you will not need to do taxes.)
  • Complete journal entries.
  • Cash forecasting and making recommendations regarding expenses, processes, efficiencies, etc
  • HR support and administrative projects
  • Occasional backup receptionist to help cover for vacations.

Part Time Accountant and HR Support Hours: 10-15 hours.   ½ day on Wednesdays are required.  In addition to Wednesdays, some hours on a Monday or Friday would be preferred.  It would be helpful if this person is open to working more hours during weeks when other staff are on vacation, but it is certainly not required.

Pay:  $19.50-21.00/hour.  Pro-rated PTO hours offered.

Part Time Accountant and HR Support Requirements:

  • 2 years of full accounting duties such as AP, AR, journal entries, tying out accounts, handling payroll taxes, financial statements, etc.
  • 2-4 year degree in accounting
  • QuickBooks experience is required/ Tech savvy and not afraid of software.
  • General payroll and tax knowledge is required. 
  • Excellent personality, team player and strong communications skills needed.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent attendance record/references required
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel and basic/intermediate Word skills are needed.
